The Cambridge News  and Daily Echo recently quoted Cordell & Cordell divorce solicitor Stephanie Kelly in an article about Cambridge and Bournemouth becoming divorce hot spots in the United Kingdom.

A study conducted by Cordell & Cordell revealed that Cambridge had one of the highest rates of online searches for divorce in the UK. According to search data, Cambridge had the fifth-highest number of divorce-related searches in the UK in 2020. Bournemouth ranked even higher with 280 searches, which was the third highest in the study.

“We have been seeing a surprising number of enquiries from people exploring their options, either because of existing issues in their relationships that have come to a head while isolating together or because one spouse has been caught out as being unfaithful,” Ms. Kelly said.

“Often, unfaithful spouses are less able to hide and maintain extramarital affairs without leaving the house and minor disagreements can become intensified.”
